Galaxy S25 Edge leak hints at surprising downgrade
A new Galaxy S25 Edge leak suggests a major downgrade: it could ship with just one speaker. But is that a deal breaker? The post Galaxy S25 Edge leak hints at surprising downgrade appeared first on Phandroid.

Everything about the Galaxy S25 Edge leak is starting to line up. The first wave of rumors got crushed earlier this year when Samsung dropped a teaser in January. After that, leakers got way more cautious about what they shared. Now, a trusted tipster has posted what looks like a final design render—and it confirms something pretty surprising. According to the leaked image, the Galaxy S25 Edge might only have one speaker.
The leaked render, posted by @evleaks, shows the Galaxy S25 Edge in a slick silver finish. Most of the design matches what we’ve been hearing: a cleaner, more minimalist back panel, a dual-camera system stacked vertically inside a pill-shaped housing, and an LED flash tucked underneath.
It’s a big shift compared to the rest of the S25 lineup, and it looks a lot closer to Samsung’s midrange Galaxy A-series phones than its flagships. It’s starting to look like Samsung is laying the groundwork for a different kind of design language moving forward.
Flipping to the front, the Galaxy S25 Edge shows off super slim bezels. Reports suggest they’ll be as thin as the ones on the S25 Ultra, and there’s a chance the Edge could use a titanium frame too. Spec-wise, the phone is rumored to feature a 200MP main camera, which would give it a performance edge over the base Galaxy S25 and S25+.
But here’s the weird part: the leaked image only highlights one speaker grill. If that’s not a mistake, it means Samsung had to make some sacrifices to keep the phone ultra-thin. And losing stereo speakers is a pretty big one.
If this leak holds up, the Galaxy S25 Edge could end up being Samsung’s most controversial flagship in years. The handset is currently rumored for a launch in May.
