Infinix Note 50 series debuts with smarter, longer-lasting battery tech

The Infinix Note 50 is the successor to last year’s Note 40 series, and it doubles down on charging tech and battery endurance. Leading the lineup is the Note 50 Pro+ 5G, which features 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus a new silicon-based battery with better capacity in a slimmer form.

All models in the Note 50 series support Infinix’s All-Round FastCharge 3.0 system. The Note 50 Pro+ 5G includes multiple charging modes (Hyper, Smart, and Low-Temp) and can deliver a full charge in 32 minutes. The Note 50 Pro supports 90W wired charging and tops up in 38 minutes.

In terms of battery, the Pro+ 5G packs a 5,200mAh cell using a silicon anode. It’s more energy-dense and compact than traditional graphite batteries, and it’s paired with dual vapor chamber cooling to manage heat. The Pro+ also supports wired and wireless reverse charging (10W/7.5W), turning it into a mini power bank.

Infinix says the series performs reliably even in extreme weather, maintaining stable charging at -10°C and supporting 4K video recording in hot conditions up to 40°C. The PowerReserve mode kicks in at 1% battery to squeeze out basic functionality like calls or navigation for up to 30 minutes.

On the software side, the phones use a Cheetah X2 chip for adaptive charging and long-term battery optimization. Pricing starts at $180 for the base Note 50, $210 for the Note 50 Pro, and $370 for the Note 50 Pro+ 5G. Availability will vary by region.
