AV1 has been around for a quite a bit, offering a more efficient way to stream video. And while it's thought of by many to be a superior file format, the adoption by the industry has been quite slow. Of course, there are a lot of factors that go into switching over, but for the most part, it just seems like something that's not really at the top of the list when it comes to priorities.
