The Oceanhorn Series Gets a Massive Overhaul
It's launching for Steam and mobile platforms this year. The post The Oceanhorn Series Gets a Massive Overhaul appeared first on Phandroid.

The launch of the very first Oceanhorn game for mobile devices many years ago came during a time when more and more developers were bringing over “console” gaming experiences to smartphones, albeit at the cost of being labelled as a Legend of Zelda clone due to similarities in design and gameplay, which carried over to its sequel.

With that in mind, developer FDG Games recently announced a new entry in the series, titled “Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon.” A direct sequel to Oceanhorn 2, the new game switches it up with retro-styled pixel graphics, a new leveling system, multiple characters, and support for co-op dungeon-crawler gameplay. A note on the game’s Steam page further describes the new gameplay mechanics:
Randomized modifiers make each level unique, and each run unexpected. Heroes start every game with different stats, depending on the zodiac sign they’re bound to, and each of the four adventurers, Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage, feels and plays differently. If less than four local players are available, the idle adventurers can be selected on the fly by any player.
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is set to launch for Android, iOS and Steam, sometime in Q2 2025. No pricing has been announced yet, so we’d recommend keeping an eye out for more info once the game launches.
