As far as smartwatches go, ASUS is a brand that we don’t hear enough of. While the Taiwanese company occasionally launches wearables under its VivoWatch line, they’re a bit far and few between, although the company recently introduced the VivoWatch 6 Aero, a new fitness tracker that presumably takes on the likes of competing products from Xiaomi and Fitbit, to name a couple.

In terms of features, the VivoWatch 6 Aero features an 1.1-inch AMOLED display, and it’s pretty lightweight with a total of of 27 grams including a 15mm silicon strap. It also comes with a bit of water resistance with a 5ATM rating, with a battery life of up to seven days depending on usage.
For tracking, the device comes with an ECG sensor for electrocardiography, a PPG sensor for photoplethysmography, a GPS sensor for location tracking, and a G sensor for motion detection. This hardware setup lets the 6 Aero monitor SpO₂, heart rate, steps, calories, and sleep quality for users. Connectivity is provided through Bluetooth 5.0, and it does work with both Android and iOS devices.
With all that said, ASUS has yet to confirm pricing and availability, so there’s no word on how much the tracker will cost, at least at the moment.
