Staffers at Seattle-based Zonar Systems were laid off following the company’s recent acquisition by GPS Trackit.
- A company spokesperson declined to provide details about number of employees affected. The layoffs were first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
- Zonar, which provides electronic fleet inspection and tracking systems for public and private fleets, employed more than 300 people across North America as of December, when the acquisition was announced.
- Founded in 2002, Florida-based GPS Trackit also sells fleet management software and is backed by private equity firm Inverness Graham.
