MediaTek’s Dimensity-class chipsets have undoubtedly strengthened the company’s presence within the smartphone industry, and its subtle-but-friendly rivalry with Qualcomm has resulted in some of the best-performing mobile chips that we’ve seen in the last few years. That in mind, it looks like MediaTek is preparing for a big launch event this April.
More specifically, the company is expected to reveal its upcoming Dimensity 9400+ chip this April, which will come with a Cortex-X925 super core clocked at 3.7GHz, a trio of Cortex-X4 super cores, and four Cortex-A720 large cores. Other big upgrades include new generative AI features, which have now become a mainstay on modern Android devices.

Additionally, a handful of upcoming Android phones are expected to run on the Dimensity 9400+ – these include the OPPO Find X8S & Find X8S+, Vivo X200S, iQOO Neo, Realme GT, OnePlus Ace, and the Redmi K80 Ultra. Just recently, MediaTek also announced the launch of a couple of mid-tier chips in the Dimensity series, which include the 7400 and 7400x.
In any case, the Android landscape is about to get very interesting in the coming months.
