Google may kill this familiar app and fold its features into the Play Store

Google is infamous for killing its products relatively quickly, and sometimes, those might also include popular ones like Chromecast, Google Podcast, and more. We saw this in action last year, as the Mountain View tech giant killed at least eight apps and services in 2024. Although no one other than Google can tell how many apps and services Google is planning to retire in 2025, the company may have decided to discontinue at least one familiar app this year.
