Samsung is skipping the chance to add a bigger battery to the Galaxy Z Fold 7
According to the latest rumors, it seems that Samsung might not add a bigger battery to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone. The post Samsung is skipping the chance to add a bigger battery to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 appeared first on Phandroid.

The batteries on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series have remained the same at 4,400mAh for at least the past three generations. If you were hoping that Samsung would take the opportunity to introduce a larger battery to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, prepare to be disappointed.
According to a post on Weibo by tipster Setsuna Digital, they claim that Samsung will maintain the same battery in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. Presumably, by tha,t they mean that the Fold 7 will end up using the same 4,400mAh battery as its predecessors. This is honestly kind of disappointing since many users are probably hoping for a larger and longer-lasting battery.
This doesn’t mean that the Fold 7 isn’t worth upgrading to. Samsung will most likely introduce upgrades to the chipset, maybe improve the hinge’s durability, and so on. However, don’t expect any changes on the battery front. As if that wasn’t disappointing enough, recent rumors claim that the Fold 7 could come with a downgraded S Pen.
The S Pen is said to be thinner than its predecessors. This could mean Samsung might end up sacrificing or compromising on some features, especially ergonomics, to get it to become thinner. Either way, as with all rumors, take it with a grain of salt. Samsung will most likely announce their new foldables later this year so we should have more details then.
