Following the launch of the Redmi Watch 5 for global markets a while back, Xiaomi has more recently added a new model to its smart wearable lineup with the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro. While it’s not a full-on “smartwatch,” it does manage to excel in some key areas, and Xiaomi also sells the device in a new colorway that includes a Cream-colored leather band.

Let’s take a look at the design – unlike a lot of affordable fitness trackers, the Smart Band 9 Pro comes with an aluminum design, and it’s even a bit more compact when compared to the Redmi Watch 5. There’s a 1.74-inch AMOLED touchscreen that’s reasonably bright, and 5ATM water resistance for a bit of added protection against water.
For some reason though, Xiaomi has not equipped the device with a physical button, so you can only wake up the screen when tilting your wrist, or when tapping on the display, Should you run out of power, the only way to turn on the Smart Band 9 Pro is by plugging it into a charger.
As for software, the wearable comes with Xiaomi Hyper OS, along with your usual suite of fitness-tracking features such as step counts, sleep tracking, blood oxygen and heart rate tracking, and more than 150 different sports modes. There’s also a 350 mAh battery inside which offers up to 21 days of usage on a single charge, which means that you’ll only need to charge it once a month.
