Xiaomi expands its AIoT lineup with new accessories

At MWC 2025, Xiaomi announced a new range of AIoT accessories. These include a premium set of wireless earbuds, a smartwatch, an electric scooter, and an upgraded fitness band. The latest lineup builds on Xiaomi’s ecosystem of smart devices, so if you’re after a new set of earbuds or a fitness tracker, here’s a closer look at what each product offers.

Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro

Starting with the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro, these are the latest true wireless earbuds from Xiaomi. It features support for Snapdragon Sound and Qualcomm aptX Lossless technology, along with support for 48kHz/24bit sound quality and a transmission bandwidth of up to 2.1Mbps. The earbuds also come with a dual-amplifier coaxial triple-driver system that enhances the bass, mids, and soundstage.

There is also built-in active noise cancellation (ANC), which can reach depths of up to 55dB and can adapt to different environments to minimize distractions. The Buds 5 Pro also boasts dual-device connectivity, AI-powered translation and transcription, and a built-in audio recording function. Battery life extends up to 40 hours with the charging case, and a quick 10-minute charge provides 4.5 hours of playback. They are priced at €199.99.

However, this isn’t the only model available. For those seeking a lossless audio experience, Xiaomi has introduced the WiFi version of the Buds 5 Pro. These are Xiaomi’s first earbuds to feature direct Wi-Fi connectivity. This model supports 96kHz/24bit lossless sound transmission with a bandwidth of up to 4.2Mbps, which should significantly improve audio fidelity.

It maintains the same triple-driver system as the standard Buds 5 Pro and shares a similar battery life of up to 40 hours of playback. The WiFi model is slightly more expensive at €219.99.

Xiaomi Watch S4

Next up, we have Xiaomi’s latest smartwatch, the Watch S4. The smartwatch packs a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466, a smooth 60Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, ensuring visibility even under direct sunlight. Battery performance is another highlight, with up to 15 days of usage on a full charge. Xiaomi claims that a quick 5-minute charge is enough to power the device for two days.

As expected of a smartwatch, the Watch S4 comes with advanced health tracking, including continuous heart rate monitoring with 98% accuracy, blood oxygen tracking, stress monitoring, and sleep analysis. Fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of over 150 sports modes, precise L1+L5 GNSS tracking for outdoor workouts, and a new one-tap health insights feature that generates a full health report in 60 seconds. The new Xiaomi Watch S4 is available starting at €159.99.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro

If smartwatches aren’t your thing and you prefer something a bit simpler, then Xiaomi’s Smart Band 9 Pro could be a better choice. The fitness tracker got a design refresh with the introduction of a new Cream White variant. It also features a quadrilateral AMOLED display with a high screen-to-body ratio, providing a more immersive viewing experience. With a resolution of 336×480 and auto-brightness adjustment up to 1200 nits, the screen remains clear even in bright outdoor settings.

The device boasts an impressive 21-day battery life, making it a reliable companion for fitness tracking and for those too lazy to charge their devices daily. Xiaomi has also improved on health monitoring with a 15% increase in heart rate tracking accuracy. The Smart Band 9 Pro offers 24/7 monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress, along with sleep tracking that provides in-depth reports and personalized recommendations. It supports over 150 sports modes, includes built-in GNSS for precise outdoor tracking, and features 3D animated exercise guides. A new integrated compass enhances navigation for outdoor activities like hiking and running. It is probably one of Xiaomi’s cheapest wearables at €79.99.

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max

Lastly, and this one isn’t related to mobile or wearables at all, is the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max. Yes, in case you didn’t know, apart from smartphones, tablets, and mobile accessories, Xiaomi does have an entire lineup of other products including electric scooters.

The latest model comes improved comfort and intelligent features. It features a dual hydraulic-spring front suspension and a dual-spring rear suspension, making rides smoother by reducing vibrations and minimizing fatigue. A 1,000W motor powers the scooter and offers a top speed of 25km/h while offering a 22% incline capability for steeper slopes with ease.

The built-in battery provides a range of up to 60km on a full charge, and fast charging capabilities allow it to fully recharge in just 3 hours. There are also some safety improvements such as Xiaomi’s Traction Control System (TCS), which adjusts motor output to prevent skidding on wet surfaces, as well as an automatic lighting system that activates in low-light conditions. The scooter also introduces an energy recovery system, converting kinetic energy into battery power while in motion, improving efficiency and extending ride time. It is priced at €599.99.
