The Galaxy S25 Edge delay is official. Samsung’s ultra-thin flagship won’t launch in April as earlier leaks suggested. Instead, Samsung has pushed the release to May 13, 2025, according to a report from SamMobile.
No one knows exactly why the date shifted. However, it’s unlikely due to hardware problems. Word is, the delay could be linked to recent leadership changes at Samsung, following the passing of DX division head Jong-Hee Han. Either way, the good news is: it’s just a one-month push.
Samsung won’t go big with this one. Unlike the splashy Unpacked event for the main S25 lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge will debut at a quieter online-only event. That could change depending on the region, but for now, expect something more low-key. Retail availability is still up in the air — no confirmation yet on when it’ll hit store shelves.
The Galaxy S25 Edge looks solid in terms of specs. It’s expected to pack a 6.7-inch display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. Leaks also show it’ll come in three colors: Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icy Blue.
Pricing? Reports suggest around 1,249 euros—just above the S25+, which is 1,149 euros. Samsung is reportedly prepping around 3 million units, but it remains to be seen how well the Galaxy S25 Edge will sell once it lands.
