These days, it’s not uncommon for Android smartphones to come with built-in dedicated gaming features, a lot of which come with improvements to overall performance and some useful QoL functionality in between. One example is Samsung’s Game Booster+ app, which has recently gotten some new updates.

As noted by the folks over at Sammobile, the app now allows users to tweak key remapping for physical controls, meaning that users can now assign different control profiles depending on which game they’re running at the moment. There are also new settings for GPU functions, which add “PreTransform” and “Texture Filter,” as well as settings for a “default” mode, “performance” or “quality.”
Users can now choose to label specific apps as “games” manually, wherein Game Booster+ features will also be compatible with said apps.
With all that being said however, there are some limitations – at the moment, these specific features are exclusive for Samsung users in South Korea, and will need to be enabled as a module via Good Lock. Additionally, there’s no word yet on when the new features will be available globally.
