Seattle-based real estate startup EDEN announced $3.7 million in fresh funding to bolster its software aimed at boosting business for residential contractors.

Climactic led the round, with participation from Better Ventures, C2 Ventures, and other investors.

Founded in 2021, EDEN wants to take a slice of the massive U.S. home services market by helping HVAC contractors generate instant, personalized quotes. Its software pulls data such as home square footage, year built, equipment matches, and local rebates.

The idea is to create a more transparent buying experience for homeowners and more sales for contractors.

“Today’s HVAC and home services landscape is changing at a rapid pace, but the way those systems are sold has barely changed since the invention of A/C,” Josh Felser, co-founder and managing partner at Climactic, said in a statement. He added: “We see a massive opportunity for EDEN to become the customer conversion funnel of record for all home contractors — big and small.”

EDEN is led by CEO and founder Ben Phillips, a former engineer at Redfin, PushSpring, and Ripl. He also had a brief stint as CTO at Waypoint Health Innovations.

Total funding at the 8-person company is $4.9 million.
